The Miaodao (Corn Leaf Saber) is another design by Sifu Adam Hsu. This graceful sword is very quick at well under 2 lbs. and the grooved high-carbon blade hisses beautifully in the cutting stroke. The grip is bound in rattan to avoid slipping. For students qualified to use a live blade, the sword is well suited to both Miaodao form and martial applications.
